I’ve been there it’s nice. One thing to remember is the purpose of National Parks. One purpose is to preserve endangered landscapes and these landscapes are going be different. What needed to be preserved here was old growth bottomland hardwood forest. Hiking is a big part of National Parks, but not the only part. If hiking is your goal and the trails are flooded then I can understand someone being disappointed, but remember preservation is also important.
